Camporee

The 2022 Port Clinton Fall Camporee now hosted by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 79!

You are cordially invited to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 79 Port Clinton Fall Camporee at Waterworks Park along the Lake Erie shore in downtown Port Clinton, Ohio. The camporee will be held on September 9, 10 & 11, 2022. This year the camporee will include attractions and events for your Troop to enjoy.

The cost of the camporee is $75 per camper. Registration includes:

  • Camping on the shore of Lake Erie
  • Fishing pier and beach for swimming at Waterworks Park
  • 5 meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast)
  • Euchre Tournament
  • Scavenger Hunt – Geocache tour of Port Clinton
  • Outlaw Dutch Oven Cookoff
  • Port Clinton Lighthouse Tour
  • Merit Badge Opportunities* (Fishing, Fingerprinting)
  • Kite Regatta
  • Fishing Tournament
  • Camporee T-shirt
  • Camping fees

Registration is open to scouts and scouters only and is on a first come first served basis. Webelos are welcome if hosted by a scout troop. Registration deadline is Monday, August 15, 2022 or until we reach capacity. Registrations received after we reach capacity will be contacted. Please note on the registration form any special needs we may need to be aware of for any member of your group (refrigeration of medication, special diet, electrical outlet for medical equipment, etc). The final date for changes or refunds is Monday August 15, 2022 and must be made by the person handling your unit’s registration. Once payment is received, you will receive (in late August) a package containing the following:

  • Camper roster form (list of all participants to be verified at registration, do not mail to us).
  • Camper/Campers health & parental release-permission form (you will need to copy for everyone attending). No camper will be admitted if you do have the health information & parental release form or are not listed on your troop roster.
  • List of items you will need to bring with you.

In order for us to provide your Scouts and Scouters with a safe and enjoyable camporee, we must set a few camporee guidelines as follows:

  • no personal bicycles will be allowed;
  • no fueled lanterns or groundfires;
  • Adhering to Safe Scouting guidelines and others outlined at the leader’s meeting Friday night.
  • We will have EMS at the Camporee site.

Please note the email address change from prior years. Special meals will only be available for scouts only. We can offer refrigerated storage for other dietary needs.
